Dong Quai is native to the high altitudes in China. Constituents include ferulic acid, angelicone, angelol, ligustilide, n-butylidene phthalide and coumarin. Herbalists may use this herb in connection with menstrual irregularity, liver disorders, anaemia, and constipation.
